Our Story
A story about brothers in Baltimore…
Brothers began in 2015 in response to the needs of Baltimore City residents that arose and gained citywide attention during the uprisings in the aftermath of the killing of Freddie Gray. Baltimore City residents, particularly communities of color and low-income residents, articulated an increased need for community rooted anti-violence work with youth and young adults.
Baltimore Brothers Inc aims to alleviate neighborhood violence while channeling community energy, resources, and frustrations into community-building efforts.

Decrease school absences, arrests by police, arrests by police, incarceration and recidivism of individuals participating in the intervention.
Link with other focused deterrence and education enhancement strategies to provide the community component of efforts to create pathways to success for Baltimore’s children and youth, and healing and healthy neighborhoods, families, and individuals.
